Board Message
The Lion Tarachand Bapa Hospital & Research Center, an initiative by the Lions Club of Sion, has been in operation for over 54 years, and is known as one of the finest charitable hospitals in the area. We have been persistently striving to serve the society to the best of our capabilities. Evolving into a multi-faceted hospital and medical research center, we feel blessed to have such a wonderful history and we would like to better ourselves in the foreseeable future, with a vision to serve the community and help the needy. We are only looking to grow from here, and we’re already taking steps towards taking the hospital to the next level by means of state-of-the-art technology in its various departments, commitment towards service and unparalleled ethics. A public-private partnership (PPP) in the near future is inevitable and is set to drive our noble initiative to the farthest horizons.

Our Future Plans
Our constant efforts to serve the society with the best-in-class facilities will see newer horizons with our next step towards doing our bit, through the introduction of super-speciality services, essentially aimed at aiding the needy and deserving cancer patients, irrespective of their cast, creed or community.
These facilities include:
- Enhancing the Department of Oncology through awareness programs, screening camps, diagnostic services, chemotherapy procedures and treatment, etc. in collaboration with renowned Oncologist surgeon, Dr. Boman Nariman. Introducing a state-of-the-art daycare center, mainly to serve chemotherapy patients.
- Upgrading the Pathology Department with advanced facilities, equipment and also teaming up with well-known Histopathologist, Dr. Anita Borges.
- Elevating and creating more demand for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Establishing a high-end fully equipped Cath lab and upgrading the ICU, in association with prominent cardiologists like Dr. D. Daruwala, Dr. Mahajan and Dr. S. Shetty.
- Developing and generating more demand by involving reputed doctors for various facilities – radiology, sonography, pathology, dialysis, operation theaters, physiotherapy, etc.
